About the Israel Tennis Centers (ITC)
Empowering Israel's Children… way Beyond Tennis and Beyond Borders!
Founded in 1976, the Israel Tennis Centers (ITC) is a not-for-profit organization that improves the quality of life of Israeli children Particularly in its periphery
Through the medium of sport, the ITC teaches life skills of self-reliance, perseverance and focus, fostering sustainable values of self-esteem, character and tolerance.
In 1976, six visionaries from Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom realized their dream and opened one center for tennis in Israel. Their vision was to bring the game of tennis to the masses, regardless of background, religion, ethnicity or physical ability, while providing the foundation to create champions in tennis and in life.
Today, the ITC operates 15 tennis centers in Israel: Akko (Acre), Arad, Ashkelon, Beer Sheva, Galilee Sajur, Haifa, Jaffa, Jerusalem, Kiryat Ono, Kiryat Shmona, Ofakim, Ramat Hasharon, Tel Aviv, Tiberias, Yokneam.
The Israel Tennis Centers offers uniquely designed programs to meet the specific needs of its children: At-Risk, Coexistence, Girls at Risk Empowerment, High Performance, Immigrant Children, Kindergarten and Special Needs.
